Spring at Mount Ephraim
After a long cold winter, we look forward to opening our gates again to the gardens on Easter Sunday, 1 April. Plans for the garden this year include the planting of more roses in the gardens and planting up the rock garden so there’s even more colour to enjoy throughout the season. We’ve also been busy gutting the old greenhouse with the aim of opening it up to our visitors with some big pot plants, pelargoniums, fuchsias and more which we hope will be a good added attraction for you to enjoy.
Excitingly for me I’ve recently joined the family business and taken on a new role as General Manager. Mount Ephraim is my family home and I’m thrilled to have joined the team this year to work on the marketing and overall management of our beautiful home. I look forward to working alongside the partners, my parents and brother, to grow the business whilst very much maintaining the ethos of Mount Ephraim as a much-loved family home that we delight in sharing with our visitors and guests. I hope you’ll enjoy the gardens as much I do and I look forward to welcoming all of you to the estate this year!
Lucy Dawes, General Manager

Easter Weekend Trail
If the hot cross buns and Easter eggs in the shops are anything to go by, Easter is on its way! For those of you looking for a more laid-back Easter affair, we’ll be running an Easter trail on Easter Sunday and Monday between 11am and 5pm. We’ll have 10 brightly coloured wooden eggs hidden throughout the gardens and the chance to win a chocolaty treat for all those completing the trail.
Meet The Team
Mark – Head Gardener
“For over twenty years, I have helped maintain the gardens at Mount Ephraim, working for three consecutive generations of the Dawes family. I now hold the position of Head Gardener – continuing to try to provide an attractive, picturesque garden for all seasons, for the enjoyment of the family and for all of our visitors.”
Gosia – Front of House Manager
“I’ve been working at Mount Ephraim for almost two years and run the B&B and Tea Room as well as co-ordinate the weddings on the day. I really enjoy the variation of the role and in particular love working with our wedding couples to ensure they have the perfect day!”
Waldek – Gardener
“I’ve worked for Mount Ephraim for 7 years and am lucky enough to live on site with some stunning views of the gardens that I work so hard to maintain.”
