Wedding Receptions

The house is available for receptions on Saturdays and weekdays. The maximum number for a formal sit down meal is now larger than before since the removal of a full size late Victorian billiards table. The stunning drawing room is now one long sweeping room that can accommodate up to 120 people. For larger weddings or by preference receptions can be held in a marquee in the garden. The marquee is usually situated on the front lawn in front of the house and this gives wonderful views of the garden and is a truly beautiful site. A marquee wedding can accommodate between 60 and 500 guests.

Marquees & Extras

We can supply a list of marquee companies, or if you wish, this can be organised by us for you. We do recommend a local marquee company who we find most helpful and convenient to work with. The added benefit of using our preferred marquee provider is that they know the site inside out!

It is sometimes requested that the house, particularly the Main Hall, is open for photos or a welcoming drink and guests have use of the inside toilet facilities. There is an extra cost for this. As part of the hire fee the gardens can be used for photos and also for the guests enjoyment.
