Who are we? Mount Ephraim is a privately owned family home built in the 1870s and the land has been owned by the Dawes family since 1695. We opened the garden to the public in the 1980s and since then have opened the Tea Room, our Wedding Venue and B&B.

How do we collect information from you? We collect data through any interaction you have with us, where your details have been collected, such as registering or enquiring for an event or wedding, signing up to our mailing list or purchasing a season ticket. If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

What type of information is collected from you? The type of information we receive will largely depend on the interactions you have with us. For all interactions we will always collect your full name, email address and contact number. Interactions that requires further information such as gift vouchers and season tickets we may also collect your home address, so we can post them to you. We never have any access to any of your banking details.

How is your information used?  We may use your information to: • Share upcoming news and event information  • Follow-up from an event/wedding booking or enquiry to ensure you have all the information you need • To analyse our marketing geographic to see what areas of the county we should seek to apply more of our advertising budget to • To analyse the distribution of our direct mail campaigns • To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us

All emails we send will have a suppression option, meaning you can decide to opt-out at any time.

Who has access to your information? Your information is not passed on to third parties and you can remove yourself from the mailing list at any time by emailing us with your details. We may also have links to other websites that are not managed by ourselves. We do not take responsibility for any information you share with these linked sites. This privacy statement covers the Mount Ephraim Gardens website (www.mountephraimgardens.co.uk) only.  From time to time, we may receive your details from a third-party partner such as Visit Kent/Visit Faversham through a competition or ballot. By signing up to these incentives, you agree for them to share your information with certain interested parties, of which we are one. Once we receive this data, you will be under the same protection as our existing gathered data.

Your Choices It is your choice whether or not to receive information from us. If you do not want to receive direct marketing communications from us about new developments or upcoming events, then you can select your choices by ticking the relevant box on any communications from us. You can change your mind at any time about receiving communications from us and can contact us by email, telephone or by post.

Should your information change for any reason, but you wish to stay updated with our information, please call or email us and we will be happy to update the information we hold for you. Security We are legally required to ensure that your personal information is treated securely. No sensitive information (such as credit or debit card details) is retained by us.

When we receive your information, we strive to ensure the security of that information on our systems by using individual usernames and passwords on all computers within our IT systems.

Use of ‘Cookies’ Cookies are small pieces of information sent by an organisation to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow that website to recognise you when you revisit. Statistical data about your browsing patterns is collected but cookies do not identify you as an individual. Like many other website, Mount Ephraim Garden’s website uses cookies.
