Stay Together in the West Wing
The West Wing has five comfortable ensuite bedrooms, sleeping up to 10 guests, and can only be booked as an exclusive group stay. Whether you’re planning a weekend with friends, a family get-together, a special celebration or a small wellness retreat, the West Wing offers a relaxed and unique setting in the heart of our beautiful estate.
With the gardens on your doorstep and the Kent countryside surrounding you, it’s a wonderful place to slow down, spend time together and enjoy Mount Ephraim at your own pace.
Your Own Private Wing
The West Wing occupies the former staff wing of our Victorian family home and has five individually styled ensuite bedrooms, each with comfortable furnishings, tea and coffee making facilities, a flatscreen TV and WiFi.
When you book the West Wing, all five bedrooms are yours, giving your group a private base for the duration of your stay.
During your visit you can also enjoy complimentary parking and access to the gardens.
April to September – Enjoy the Gardens
During our main garden and Tea Room season, the West Wing is available for exclusive group stays on a room-only basis.
You’ll have access to the gardens during your stay and can explore the ten acres of Edwardian gardens at your leisure. Our Tea Room is also open Wednesday to Sunday during the season, serving barista coffee, scones, cakes, light lunches and pre-booked Afternoon Tea.
There are also plenty of excellent pubs, cafés and restaurants nearby for meals during your stay, and we’re happy to provide local recommendations.
October to March – Your Own Country House Base
During the quieter autumn and winter months, when the gardens and Tea Room are closed to the public, the West Wing offers a particularly special setting for a private group stay.
For bookings between October and March, groups can make use of our Tea Room kitchen and dining room, giving you the option to prepare and enjoy your own meals together during your stay.
It’s an ideal setting for a cosy weekend away with friends or family, a celebration, or a small group retreat.
A Unique Place to Stay
The West Wing is part of our much-loved family home, surrounded by ten acres of gardens, orchards and countryside.
It’s not a hotel and we don’t offer a traditional hotel service — instead, it’s a chance to stay somewhere with history, character and a real sense of place, with the whole wing reserved exclusively for your group.
Whether you’re gathering friends together, celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for somewhere peaceful to spend a few days together, we’d love to welcome you to Mount Ephraim.

April–September: Room-only stays, with access to the gardens and Tea Room during opening hours.
October–March: Private group stays with use of the Tea Room kitchen and dining room for self-catering.
